Inflatable event domes are a unique indoor space, perfect for trade shows, art performances, exhibitions, and more. The futuristic appearance is both eye-catching and sleek, great for generating buzz and providing a memorable moment. Unlike a tent, domes don’t require poles to keep the ceiling in place. This means your venue is open and spacious, allowing for greater freedom of movement – ideal for concerts and dance events. The smooth interior skin of the dome is perfect for 360 video projection. This allows for anything from immersion audio-video experiences to elegant and dynamic mood lighting.
To keep a dome inflated, industrial-strength blowers are used to push air inside constantly. Air pressure in the dome is slightly elevated, which keeps the dome upright. The skin is made of ultra-thick vinyl to reduce the chance of tears or rips. While they may look like giant balloons, constructing one is a bit more complicated than simply filling it with air. Anchoring and ballasting are required to secure the dome. Decking and flooring are also assembled based on the customer’s needs. Once the foundation is ready, the dome itself is installed and inflated. The installation also includes heating, cooling, and electrical. The whole set-up process takes about two weeks, depending on size, location, and the project’s complexity.
